1. “Game of Thrones”

Do you know that in Croatia the famous TV series “Game of Thrones” were filmed? This way many of “Game of Thrones” fans come to visit Croatia and locations they've seen on screen. Gorgeous places from Split to Dubrovnik have rich architecture and history. Dubrovnik is, according to Erica Gordon, one of the most beautiful cities you'll ever visit.

2. The perfect climate

Croatian climate is described as the perfect Mediterranean climate. Warm springs, hot summers, gorgeous, clean, turquoise blue water and 2600 sunlight a year in average will make you want to just enjoy the moment. Of course, you would like to pinch yourself to realize you are not dreaming.

3. New music mecca

Many different music festivals all along the Croatian coast and in its capital Zagreb are, based on Erica's words, incredible. Croatia is quickly becoming the ultimate top destination for all music fans, gathering the best world's Djs every year. Pag island is already known for its legendary music scene, which inspires music fans to come to Adriatic sea. This way, it is not surprise that Croatia is often referred as the “new Ibiza”.

4. Thrilling sailing trips

Can you imagine cruising the Croatian coastline on your own yacht with your friends and family? It doesn't have to be just a dream anymore, it could become reality. Erica suggests to her readers that this luxurious experience they can afford in Croatia, as the price per person is very affordable. Also Croatian sea is calm and warm, what makes it perfect for virgin sailors.

5. More bang for your buck

Compared to its Mediterranean neighbors, Croatia offers bigger value for your money. Gordon thinks that local prices, such as for sailing trips, food and drink are more than reasonable.

6. Culture

Croatia's regions have very rich and very diverse culture. These richness and diversity can been seen in music, film, theater, dance, local traditions… Many of cultural, natural or historical landmarks are under UNESCO's protection.

7. Nature porn at its finest

According to Erica, Croatia offers visitors a ton of natural “Oh my God”s, as it is a place of diverse natural beauty. Stunning coastline, amazing sunsets, breathtaking waterfalls, gorgeous hikes and beautiful flora and fauna will not leave you indifferent. The real beauty you can find on Plitvice lakes.

8. Celebrity sightings

Many of world's celebrities chose Croatia as their holiday destination. Beyoncé, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, prince Harry... are only some of them.

9. Wine and food

Croatia offers great wine and food. Croatia's wine-tasting tours can easily rival those in France or Italy. The only bad thing is that Croatia has very good wine that is widely underrated. Croatia offers amazing traditionally prepared Mediterranean cuisine inspired by Italy.

10. Historical intrigue

Croatia has rich historical heritage. Here you can find Roman and Byzantine ruins, 1600 year old olive tree and 100 million year old dinosaur footprints.

A real “must-see” is Brijuni National park, group of small islands, located on the west coast of Istria peninsula.
